So I know about TVAP, and I know the idea of an automated transfer -> automated commercial cutting -> automated transcode is nothing new.

But this program . Which uses ffmpeg instead of VideoReDo and is written in perl. Which made me think that we could do the same thing with python. This would always be an external hack and I don't think I would include it in any pyTivo distribution(since it requires, comskip and tivodecode and goes a little beyond what was originally envisioned in pyTivo).

But I thought it was a pretty neat idea.

I only just saw this on the Tivo forum and your enthusiasm in that thread. It looks very interesting to me.
