I have the same problem. Here is my config
[Kids]
type = video
auto_subshares = False
hack83 = True
path = f:\Kids
Here is the folder structure:
f:\kids\Batman Beyond\Season 1\Movie1.avi
Once I browse to Batman Beyond I can not get into Season 1.
The version I have installed is: 2008.05.02
I have tried with and without the auto subshares=false in the config. I have tried with lowercase true, w/o spaces, nothing seems to work. The auto_shares works but with 500+ videos it is impossible to browse through them all.
Any pointers,

No, you don't.

That's what I'd expect to see if you didn't have "hack83 = True" in your pyTivo.conf, but you do. Hmm.

I've no idea why you have this problem, but perhaps you could get around it by making shares for each of the folders under "Kids" -- just that top level -- so that none of your shares have more than one level of subfolders? _________________ My pyTivo fork |

I saw the same behavior described by rfryar until I added "hack83 = True" in the [Server] section. Once I did that, everything worked as expected.

Yep that was the issue. Did not know hack83 needed to be in the server section.
Works now, thanks.
