|
|
I would like to see it work for all the videos format that can be played thriugh Pytivo. Divx, avi, etc. Then I could load up info for my videos and display them in the now playing list section along with the movie.
I think it would work like that?
Anyway that is the capability I am looking for. To be able to know about my video in the Now Playing before I play it.
Any ideas. |

| Can you rephrase your question? As best I can tell, this is precisely what metagenerator and pytivo already do. |

Thanks for the response. I have tried that but it seems you have to either use a tivo d/led show or movies first. What I want to do is the following. I have some *avi files on my hard drive. I want to have an info file loaded with the movie to tell me what it is about.
when I tried to use the metagenerator it did not even recognize my files.
Am I doing something wrong? |

What do you mean by not recognizing your files?
To use the Generator:
1. Choose which type of video you are searching for a) Movie or b) TV show
2. Search for the movie title or tv show
3. Find the proper title and double-click it
4. Tell MetaGenerator to save the file and find your video file
I have it recognizing most of the popular formats...no one has said that I am lacking any... _________________ MetaGenerator

It seems what I was trying to do was look at the folder where I keep my avi files. Click on one have it eneter it and then save the info. It does not work that way for me.
I just figured out that I have to type the movie/avi title and then do a search for it. As long as info is found I can save and view it in Pytivo.
Anyway to make it work the other way that I was trying?
Great feature and program. Thanks for developing it. |

there is a python version that GMD created that does something like you are requesting. Look at this thread and see if that is what you are talking about.
There is no plans to do what you are requesting. I have given my reasons as to why I don't like that idea in the MetaGenerator...besides GMD has a great product...no reason to reinvent the wheel. _________________ MetaGenerator
