Just wondering if the EpisodeNum bug I reported got fixed?

Anyone have the api/interface you use to talk to the tvdb and movie db sources in Visual Basic 6?

Or a quick demo program showing the interaction?

I am using REGEX searching in a test program and need examples to show the interactions.

Admittedly, I just jumped a couple of releases ... but is there a reason that the "Find SeriesID" button is greyed out and unusable in this version?

It's a depracated feature that I haven't removed from MG. Since we got TheTVDB.com people to incorporate the seriesIDs on their side, there is no reason to have seriesIDs there...however, I am keeping them there because I plan to use them in another way when I get a chance to code.

Is some of the seriesIDs that are being pulled by them wrong?

Well *personally* I found it useful when there was no SeriesID found at all .. then I could hit that button, get a new window and search for something that could be used.

Obviously there are other ways that I could go about obtaining that information, but I had found it a very handy, easy to use tool. It was where I wanted it when I needed it ..

But hey.. if I'm the only one who was making use of it. So be it.

I could always enable the button. The functionality is still there. I just disabled that button a couple of versions ago and didn't hear anyone complain. I could always just enable the button though...

Hi

I have quite a few old shows, one called '10-8'. I ran the latest MetaGenerator program using 'entire season' option, and now the show episode names do not show in dbl-quotes, and if you transfer one, the Episode name becomes the Show/Series name.

I looked at the metagenerated file, and see that nowhere does the series title actually show up now, as the episode name is showing on the 'seriesTitle' and title fields. The name '10-8' has to show somewhere correct? See this:

It only happens in the entire series code.

I just tried a single episode, worked fine.

Here is the single episode output, so you can check that all of everything else is ok:

I was wrong.

ALL EpisodeTitle lines are missing now in both cases.

If you add them, it works fine. I set them up like this:

title : 10-8
episodeTitle : Brothers in Arms
seriesTitle : 10-8

Without SeriesTitle, it doesn't work, and obviously, without Episode title, it doesn't either.

Any chance of getting this fixed soon? I redid my collection again, from the episode number bug, and will need to redo it again.

I'll try to work on it today, but I am swamped...

This came from the whole conversation about what needs to be there and what doesn't....obviously I missed something, but no one ever came back in that conversation and said "for a movie, you have to have X and for a TV show you have to Y"

That would be nice.

Well I tested, and for a TV Show you definitely need all at least SeriesTitle and EpisodeTitle, and it won't hurt for a tv show to do title too

I did alot of testing and found it didn't work in some capacity in PYTIVO if any of the 3 were missing.
