The youtube browser is about the same thing as this just better so you should probably just use that: Youtube browser link
If you replace your pytivo/plugins/video/video.py file with the file attached, it will read the metadata from youtueb using the youtube api
There are 2 downsides to this though:
1. It takes a lot longer to load
2. Sometimes it gets the wrong video (because the video you were trying to find isn't on youtube)
so i guess for most people this isn't very resonable but if you get most of your videos from youtube anyway it works great

Wait so how does this work?? It finds a video with a similar name on youtube and uses it for the metadata?? But it only works if the video came from youtube??
FYI you may want to look into writing the metadata from youtube from a file after it is loaded once, this would save querying youtub again
