Yes you can do this by going to http://localhost:9032 from the computer running pyTivo. Then follow the ToGo link.

Ok, this was working until I clicked an Information bar that kept popping up in IE to turn something on... UGH! I'm not sure what it was but now I can't get back into my intranet and my TiVo no longer can access the pyTivo directory listing. Any advice on what I did or how to undo it?

Wait changing an option in IE prevents your TiVo from accessing pyTivo?? Damn Microsoft really has taken over the world.
First try restarting pyTivo, maybe a hiccup occured. 2. I think that IE may balk at the use of javascript on the localhost, I think that is what the popup was about. you can probably search the intrawebs to find out how to enable that again. Look for javascript on localhost or intranet. |

Are there any plans to make ToGo be automatic? That is, a background process that will download new shows into a folder? I realize I could do this with Desktop, but I don't want to install that on my WHS setup.

There is, but until I get more free time I won't be able to do it. Currently the ToGo does run in the background, you can close the web browser once you start the download, but it will not initiate downloads on it's own.
