I have been reading this site and have found it very helpful. I think pytivo is a great app and it was easy to set up. I did have one question is there any way to transfer a movie to the Tivo without turning it on? I would like to transfer movies from work? My computer that houses all of my movies files is always on. Any help would be great.

Do you mean one of these?
1) "from my work I want to be able to have files transfer from my house computer to my house TiVo"
2) "I want to transfer from my work computer to my house TiVo"?

#1 can probably be accomplished using the new Push features of pyTiVo.

When you say "push", do you really mean pushing the data from the PC to the Tivo, or are you referring to the normal videos showing up in the Now Playing List, so I'm really having the Tivo pull them from the PC?
