Please try follow these THREE steps before posting for help:
1. Less is more when working with your pyTivo.conf file. If you are having issues please try a basic pyTivo.conf file first. A basic file only needs to include the following settings:
Under the [Server] section
ffmpeg=
port=
Each share, such as [My Videos], only needs to have:
type=
path=
2. If you are having issues make sure to check the FAQ to see if others have had the same problem.
If you still cannot find a solution please post your question here. In your post please include:
1. Your operating system
2. Your type of TiVo(S2,S3,HD) and Software version(9.1, 9.2)
3. The location of the of the pyTivo version you downloaded.
4. A good description of your problem
