Very cool addition, wgw, but if I understand it correctly it only ever feeds one particular audio track per file.
So if my CoolVideo.avi file has 2 tracks I can use your settings to ensure I always get the 2nd audio track. For me, I like having English most of the time, but sometimes like to have the commentary. To switch from one to the other would mean editing either pyTiVo.conf or a metadata file.
Can we have pyTiVo identify mutliple track files and report them to TiVo as if each audio track were part of different actual files? (Perhaps by appending ":1" & ":2" or ":Eng" & ":Dir" to the end of the file name...) Of course on TiVo's "send me this file" request pyTiVo would have to be able to detect the audio track suffix in the "virtual" file name to identify the actual file and transcode the appropriate audio track.
With a process such as this we would have a live "run-time" choice of audio tracks.
