I had the same problem with times being off (I was using DVDFab to produce a single vob as described here). I found that running the vob through VideoRedo's Quickstream Fix tool corrected things. It's an extra step but, I haven't had a problem since.

I downloaded a trial of video redo. I love the batch mode QuickStream Fix. Thanks a bunch for the tip.
