Does Amazon have the cheapest price for a Series 2 ($65.99)?
Been thinking about purchasing one for testing.

The cheapest price I could find was at the TiVo Community Forum Store, where I got a 540 (single-tuner Series 2) for $150 -- theoretically, free after rebate. It seems to be the only place still selling new 540's; everyone else has moved on to 2 DT's as the bottom end. Like you, I only bought it for testing, so I didn't care about dual tuners. (In fact, I wanted the most limited model I could find.)

Even eBay pricing wasn't as good, since there were no rebates, and the service cost is the same (unless you find a lifetime unit -- in which case it's $$$).

Good idea. I take it that you're figuring if something works with that model it will work with any Series 2. I didn't think they still sold the 540. Thanks.
